The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu, commissioned the “Faculty of Arts” Building yesterday, 12th May 2021.
Mr. Charles Kofinti, the Director of the Physical Development and Municipal Services Directorate (PDMSD), gave a brief history of the building. He recounted that the project, which began in 1987, has seen six (6) successive Vice-Chancellors (VCs), the current VC being the seventh (7). Mr. Kofinti noted that the building has three (3) lecture halls with 500, 250 and150 seating capacities. The building also contains 33 offices and four (4) seminar rooms. The design, according to the Director, integrates the academic areas with the office areas and creates buffers with canteen facilities, stationery shops and common rooms.
