Legon Club Donates to the University Health Services

The Legon Club, a welfare association of lecturers and non-academic staff of the University of Ghana, has donated assorted items to the University Health Services as part of its corporate social responsibility. Presenting the items, which included bags of rice, cartons of tomato paste and cooking oil, the Chairman of the Club, Prof. Daniel K. Twerefou, said that the donation was to express gratitude to the hospital for quality healthcare delivery to members of the University community. According to him, majority of the club’s members receive medical treatment from the hospital; hence it was appropriate for the Club to appreciate the efforts of the hospital staff through the donation.
