Biography
Experienced Journalist and Communication Expert with a strong organisational skills and passion for excellence. Enthusiastic leader and team player with exceptional interpersonal skills and work ethics.
Have over 40 years working experience with enormous skills and expertise in Public Relation, Media Consulting and Broadcasting as well as Advertising and Event Planning.
Started working career as a Teaching Assistant at the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana in 1977. Joined the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation as a TV Presenter and Anchor person for news and major programs in 1984. Also served as a Consultant to the National Theatre and facilitated programs and events from the Theatre to Ghana Television.
Established Babywalk Company Limited ( a public relations, marketing and events consulting firm) in 1996 as the Chief Executive Officer to date.Over the years, the company has managed various projects for : University of Ghana, Nestle Ghana Limited, International Energy Insurance, Ghana Aids Commission amongst others.
Owing to passion to impact the younger generation, established an ultra modern state of the arts Pre-School in 2005.
Successfully managed the production of these documentaries:
The Life of Noguchi (United Nations/ Japanese Production)
Malaria- The Killer Disease (BBC Open University Production)
International Youth Festival ( Coordinator- Aberdeen University,Scotland)
Have served relentlessly as a Council member of the University of Ghana Alumni Association and been of good standing for over 10 years. Served on various committees of the Association and made positive contributions towards the development of our prestigious University thus helping place the University of Ghana as a World class University.
Currently the President of Volta Hall Alumni and represent the only female Hall of the University of Ghana on the Council.
Achievements include :Presidential National Award, Grand Medal Order-Media 2008, Best TV Interview program 2010, Certificate of Honour-Volta Hall University of Ghana 1974 and 1975 and the Best TV Production –ECRAG Award 1979.Also hosted the award winning flagship Program Obaa Mbo on TV Africa.
My experience with the Council coupled with my organisational and project management skills has equiped me with a good understanding of what the job of a Chairman entails and what is required to take the Alumni Association and the University of Ghana to the next level.
My vision is to create a vibrant and visible Alumni Association with an effective membership drive to promote the interest and contribute positively to the development of our great University.
