Vice-Chancellor Donates to Support One-Student-One Laptop Initiative

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, has donated ten laptops, as part of efforts to support the One-Student-One-Laptop (1S1L) initiative which falls under her Programme for Enhancing the UG Student Experience through Digitalisation.

Prof. Amfo, in handing over the laptops to the Chairman of the 1S1L Committee, conveyed her joy in contributing her resources to the initiative. She stated the need to equally include her bankroll and urged members of the University to be encouraged by the example she has set. “I have to put my money where my mouth is. I encourage members of the University community to follow this example. It doesn’t only have to be the One-Student-One-Laptop programme alone, there is also the Classroom Modernisation Project and the Hotspot Comfort Zones initiatives. You can support any”, she added. She was hopeful that support from both internal and external stakeholders will greatly aggrandise the initiative and meet its intended purpose.
