The University of Ghana Office of Students with Special Needs on Friday, April 30, 2021 received a donation of four (4) wheelchairs from the Centre for Employment of Persons with Disability.
At a brief ceremony the Coordinator of the Office of Students with Special Needs, Dr. Awo Manna Asiedu, remarked that the donation was made possible when she sighted an online report of a similar donation by Mr. Tetteh, Chairman for the Coalition for Ghana Disability Forum, to an individual. She consequently contacted Mr. Tetteh to solicit for three wheelchairs for some newly admitted students who needed them for use on campus. Mr. Tetteh graciously obliged and promised to donate four wheelchairs instead of three.
